WELCOME TO MY LIFE
Larry Gordon (f.k.a. Lil’ Larry) is every record label’s dream: the triple threat who can write great songs, sing, dance, and perform in a style all his own. Larry has been on a trajectory towards stardom since he began performing and singing at the young age of four. He made his debut performing the songs "Wonderful World" and "I Feel Good" on a beautiful summer night in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The audience included the late His Serene Highness Prince Rainier, Prince Albert and a host of celebrities and guests from all around the world. Larry was so entertaining that he was asked to sing at the world famous Jimmy'z Nightclub, which landed him on the front cover of a local newspaper with Prince Albert, Eric Clapton, and Ringo Starr. People were wondering, "Who is this kid?"
Over the years, Larry has appeared in: Showboats International, Selecta, and "D" magazines; the Nice-Matin and Dallas Morning News newspapers; was featured on such shows as Good Morning Texas, Vive l'ete Show - Television Monte Carlo, Good Day Dallas, Insights, Positively Texas, and It's Showtime at the Apollo - Apollo Kids; and a guest performer at the Grammy After Party. Additionally, he performs frequently with his father's band the Dr. Larry T-Byrd Gordon Orchestra/Show band. In doing so, this has afforded him a wide range of opportunities to share the stage with and entertain such greats as: President George H.W. Bush and family, Quincy Jones, Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Jones, Mary Hart, Roger Staubach, H. Ross Perot, Tony Bennett, Patti Page, Willie Nelson, Brooks & Dunn, Tanya Tucker, Commodores, The Temptations, Art Greenhaw & The Light Crust Doughboys, Bar-Kays, Flo Rida, Breathe Carolina, Taio Cruz, Erykah Badu…
At Temple Christian School, Larry graduated Valedictorian (4.0 GPA), served as captain of the Blazers Varsity Basketball Team, Senior Class President, Homecoming King, and was actively involved in various community service projects. After high school, Larry attended Baylor University where he received academic scholarships. During the beginning of his junior year transferred to Dallas Baptist University to meet the demands of performing, songwriting, producing, and continuing his education. While pursuing his music career, Larry maintained his high academic standards with a 3.5 or above GPA and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Larry came to the attention of Mike Curb, Chairman of Curb Records, after an intern partnership between Baylor University (Waco, TX) and Belmont University (Nashville, TN), Mr. Curb immediately signed him to a publishing and recording deal. When asked about Larry, Curb replied, "I'm interested in an artist who has a commitment and passion for what they do. Larry is all of that and more."
With a career in the making since the age of four, who is Larry Gordon musically? According to Larry, “My musical influences come from all genre's of music". I create music that comes from my heart. It’s about life, love, and living in the moment. The journey we have the opportunity live each and every day. The joy and pain, the ups and downs.”
As a Singer-Songwriter, Larry hit television and the big screen with debuts of his songs “End Of The World” and “MVP” that were featured on episodes of Love & Hip Hop (Atlanta and New York), and in the movies "Hoovey" and "Yoga Hoser" featuring Johnny Depp.
Larry’s soon to be released EP covers the entire spectrum of authentic and genuine “FEEL GOOD” music with such songs as the lead single, “Running Away”.
